Live Your Life To Make A Difference In The Lives Of Others

Family Matters Conference Countdown

We are now less than 2 weeks away from the conference. 3000+ flyers have been distributed, 50+ posters have been put around town, and we have received a good number of registrations. I couldn’t be more excited about the conference. I am totally fired up and know that God is going to use it to change lives.

If you haven’t had a chance to look into it or register for it, goto www.familymattersconference.com and register for this event!

PS- Water Baptisms this Saturday Night – Bring your dark t-shirt, shorts, and towel and get ready to be baptized. Remember to invite your friends and family, and I know that our church family is going to show up in big numbers to cheer those being baptized on!

* 21 Day season of prayer and fasting

came to an end last night with a wonderful service where as a church body we all took communion together and had an incredible time of Worship. Pastor Bryan brought forth the Word speaking about small groups and did a great job. The groups fair saw many people stopping by and signing up.

It was awesome to see everyone hanging out and fellowshipping for literally and hour plus after the service. We were also blessed that it was a largest service to date, but even more than that we had 3 decisions for Christ and then Pastor Bryan and Renee went to dinner with another couple and the young lady gave her life to the Lord right outside of Carrabas.. Go God what a season of spiritual growth and renewal.

It was also wonderful to share with people and opportunity to connect with Challenge Enterprises . Kami a house mom came out and shared the need to have some of the guys have buddies. If you would like more information on how you can serve the special needs community in Clay County, Challenge Enterprises is a great way to start. We were also blessed by the generosity of the people of Journey Church and were able to give $1000 to the organization to further their mission in the community.

Looking forward to next week I am excited that we will be holding our 1st Baptism Service. If you have made Jesus Christ your Lord and savior and are ready to be baptised. Show up for service next weekend. We would love to baptise you and celebrate that special life moment with you!

* Transparency

In a few moments we will be posting this past weekends vision 2008 message. It is well worth listening to if you call Journey Church your church home. In it we look back at last year and look forward expectantly towards a great 2008. In one section I highlighted the finances of the church. There was something I didn’t say, but that struck me afterwards. The church should be the most transparent "Non-Profit" in the world. Our finances should be open books. We should be the bell weather, the example setter. Especially when so many people think the church just wants their money and in light of many of the scandles nationally. So, my prayer is that we would set and example in this area and keep "OPEN-BOOKS" :)

* I couldn’t be more excited

about the start to 2008.

Church was awesome last night. I really sense that God is about to do something big in the life of the people of Journey Church during this season of prayer and fasting.

People are inviting people, we had over 7 first time families visit last night.

I just stand in awe of what God is doing. Much work remains to be done, but what an awesome year lies ahead of us.

Keep praying, keep believing, keep pressing on. Keep loving God, Keep loving others, Keep serving the world. None of your efforts in Jesus name are worthless. God sees all and has amazing plans for you!

As you fast and pray remember Journey Church in those prayers. During this season we are seeking God for our next steps. Where he wants us spiritually and physically. Lord we are beleiving you for great stuff because people matter to you and we want to see many people come to know you!

Football, Fasting, and Vision Casting

Tonight the Jaguars are facing the Steelers in our first play-off football game. Of course it starts at 8pm and conflicts indirectly with our church services – such is the way of Saturday Night church. But – God has been opening doors and I fully believe our Sunday Mornign destiny will be revealed during the course of our 21 day season of prayer and fasting which starts tomorrow.

Check out this well constructed guide to fasting compliments of Healing Place Church..

I will be speaking more about the fast in tonights vision casting message, and in the weeks ahead we will be preaching a great deal about it.

About tonight – Church should release with plenty of time to make it home to watch the game. If your a little worried. That is what DVR’s are all about.

Finally – tonight is the last opportunity for anyone considering being a small group leader for this semester. If you think you want to lead a group and haven’t been to our small group leader training before. Simply show up at 4pm and we will share with you about what is involved.
