Today at church we announced the Dirty Water Challenge..

For 21 days starting Jan 10th (in conjunction with our season of prayer and fasting) drink only water.

Take all or some of the money you would have spent during that time on coffee, soft drinks, etc. and bring in an offering on January 31st as we close out the fast.

All money brought in for the Dirty Water Challenge will be matched by Journey Church for up to $5000 so that we might parter with Liquidwater.com to build water wells in Africa.

Not sure what is going on, but God really keeps laying the Sudan in front of me lately.

Tomorrow night some of the lost boys of the Sudan will be joining us in church www.allianceforthelostboys.com   These fellas live in Jacksonville and were transplanted here by war. They recentely had their apartment complex burned down. It was not their fault, but they are struggling with the fallout. They are in obvious need of finances to get back on their feet.

Simultanious to that I went to lunch with a great friend James Murphy who passed on an email to me about a young lady named Michelle Perry who is a missionary in Sudan. To read about their work visit: www.iris-sudan.org

and finally I get this months edition of Prayer point from samaritans purse and the cover story is "Out of the Ashes, Rebuilding Sudans Churches" 

I know God well enough to know that when 3 things happen in a week, then Maybe, just maybe he is trying to speak something to the church or me personally.

Lord we are praying for your will and your direction. What are you speaking to us and how would you like us to engage??
