Weekend Box Score and More

We had another great weekend at Celebration Church. Summer is here,
but I have been pleasantly suprised by our turnouts. We had 934 in
weekend attendance which is only about 5% off of our average leading
into summer. I am not sure of all the reasons. The eMarriage series may
be helping, and our visitor numbers are very strong.
Our
groups mags came out today and the congregation took 2 full cases to
distribute on their own. I was fired up by that. Groups will be
starting next Sunday night with our abreviated summer semester. It was
also a good day for childrens church and for guest services as both got
new recruits signing up to be a part of their wonderful teams.
Even Saturday night is kicking off well. We have been over 100 on Saturdays for 2 weeks in a row.
It’s all very exciting. God seems to be moving, we have seen tons of
decisions for Christ and tons of people asking for prayer in their
marriages.
I’ll be doing a lot of postings on church
strategy this week, so be on the lookout for it. Our God First Leader
Podcast is also up and should have atleast 3 new podcasts by Saturday
night. Visit the sermons online page of
http://orangepark.celebration.org to subscribe to the podcast.
On a personal note we snuck out on the boat for the afternoon with
Eddie, Angel and the kids as well as Tyler. The rain really kicked up
on the way back and I did a really stupid thing leaving the anchor on
the front deck, which subsequently fell into the water and dragged the
left nose of the boat under a massive wave submerging 1/2 the pontoon
boat under water. It was a great adventure.
Good thing Eddie and Angel sung – "He walks on Waves!" this morning!
PS – The Editor of the Clay Today receieved 2 of my articles and is
re-starting a Pastors Corner section of which I will have the
opportunity to be a major contributor. Pray for us!
