21 Days of Prayer and Fasting: January 13th

Prayer Focus: Christian Service
Scripture: Matthew 20:28 “For even I, the Son of Man, came here not to be served but to serve others, and to give my life as a ransom for many.
Thoughts:
Serving was close to Jesus heart and it should be at the heart of every believer. Pray that God would raise up people who are sold-out to serve Him with everything that is within them. That they would use their gifts boldly
to make a difference inside and outside the walls of the church.
I have taken the challenge. On day 4 of the Daniel Fast. I am reading “The Daniel Fast” by Susan Gregory as I go. No caffeine has been a real challenge and I have failed in that respect the last 2 days. The fruits, veggies and water only part is going well. I will keep trying with the coffee. I struggle with prayer. Knowing what to focus on has always been a challenge. I appreciate the daily prayer focus, it helps. I find myself repeatedly praying for the same things in my personal life. Is this this wrong? I know God is in control and will work out whatever is His will for us in our prayers. Is it a lack of faith or trying to control something that I can’t control. Should I “let go and let God” once and for all? I know things go according to God’s time, not mine. I am grateful for this opportunity to grow in my walk with Christ.
