What can I say? 1st off I am not a huge birthday guy. Somewhere deep down I actually prefer to give stuff away rather than receive in that manner. I probably learned it from my Dad and for that I am appreciative.
Do I feel 40? Sometimes, other times I still feel like I am 18 years old. Well maybe it is a little hard to feel 18 when you have 15, 18, and 21 year old children. A few health problems have creeped up and fitness wise, I am definitely feeling my age and really need to get back into the gym on a regular basis.
This year has been an interesting one for sure. One of the busiest in my life and lot of transitions.
As I look back I am most grateful for my relationship with God. I am super thankful to have had Mary Jo in my life all of these years and I do love her today more than ever before. I thank God for my kis even though they like to give me grey hair on a regular basis.
I am thankful for my mom and dad who stuck with us all of these years and continue to support us and the kids on a regular basis. I am thankful for my co-workers at integrity consulting and at Journey Church. I am so fired up about what God is doing through the church and for all of the great people who call it home. Thank you so much for letting me serve with you guys. You are an amazing bunch of people.
Well, thats all I have for this morning. MJ and I will be heading to Washington DC for tomorrow through Friday for a Pastors Political Briefing. It should be very insightful as well as a great time visiting our nations capital. It will be a first for both of us.
We love you guys – A special thanks to all of our facebook friends your birthday wishes are amazing.
and oh yeah – remember there are some elections coming up in August – don’t forget to visit: http://www.facebook.com/electjaffe to get involved.
