The bible teaches that there is wisdom in the counsel of many. Over the past two months I have taken the time to meet with numerous business leaders in Clay County and beyond regarding the God First Business Network and it’s potential. Virtually everyone seemed excited about the possibility of such a group coming into existence.

One thing I noticed during the conversations was that there is much confusion regarding what marketplace ministry is all about and the potential that it has not only to transform our businesses but to transform the community we live in for Christ.

That being said we have decided to kick off God First Business Network in the form of a bible based book study of Ed Silvoso’s book, “Anointed for Business”. This will serve as a thought provoking work to help us explore the short and long term possibilities for North East Florida should all of our businesses begin to Lead Like Jesus in the marketplace. The study will include the book,  and will take 6 sessions, which will begin on Tuesday February 16^th and will meet on the 1^st and 3^rd Tuesday of the month from 7:30-8:30am at the Journey Church facilities on Blanding Blvd. Doors will open @ 7:00 and coffee, teas, water, and light breakfast type foods will be available.

For those of you who want to explore the group in terms of networking, don’t worry you will have the opportunity to engage with like minded people on the same journey. I have no doubt you will connect and have the opportunity to grow your businesses together by helping one another in a Christ like fashion.

As the 6 weeks come to a conclusion we will be seeking out people who feel called to help lead this movement to take on various leadership roles to begin to take the organization to the next level.

Note: There will be no cost to these meetings other than the purchase of this book if you so choose.  While I feel you will get the most out of the study by purchasing the book, you can complete the study without the book as message notes will distributed at each session. All sessions will be recorded and broadcast live on the internet as well for those who may not be able to join us in person.
