iBuild Update
Posted by Eric Jaffe | Posted in Misc | Posted on 21-05-2010
This weekend we will be doing a full iBuild update at the church, and will continue to do so from this point forward the last weekend of every month until the campaign draws to a close.
Some people have been asking if we still need the iBuild campaign with the reduced costs of moving into the new facility and the answer is a resounding YES!
During the course of the iBuild campaign we received building fund commitments of just over $120,000 to be applied towards the opening and building out of a new facility. We are pleased to announce that in just under 90 days just over $65,000 has been collected in iBuild funds and our building fund account stands at just under $110,000 having paid out some funds to attorneys as well as other building related expenses. That leaves us with about $55,000 in commitments remaining to be collected in the coming year.
The cost projections for building out phase one of the current facility are still close to $150,000 so if you subtract the money in the bank we still need to bring in $40,000-$50,000 to successfully complete phase 1 which gels nicely with the outstanding commitments.
So all that being said, yes Journey keep giving. We would love to be able to complete the buildout without having to dip into normal operating funds. This would position us for the most financial health possible as we move into the new facility.
Get ready for some exciting things and even some PHASE 2 dreams..
Thank you for your faithfullness in your iBuild contributions..
Also – get ready – work nights will begin the 2nd Wednesday in June, and will last until the grand opening which is anticipated to be the weekend of August 7th.
God Bless you all–
Pastor Eric
