Today I was blessed to have lunch with two of our Counties Leaders. Fritz Behring and Harold Rutledge.

I can’t begin to tell you how impressed I am by these guys. I get the distinct impression that these guys are working really, really hard to build the future of Clay County.

I believe that Fritz has been the County Manager for about a year now and he strikes me as a guy that really has his head put together. He has worked in a variety of other city or county management positions and whoever hired him was pretty smart. He is keenly aware of the counties Economic Development needs and I for one hope that he has a long career here serving the people of Clay County.

I continue to be impressed with Harold and his forward thinking. His desire to see the other commissioners be all they can be and what seems to be a genuine desire to serve and get feedback from the county and his constituents. He seems to have an earnest desire to see the county grow wisely and has some very innovative ideas. I was impressed by his desire to also see the faith community thrive in our county as well.

Ps – Commissioner Doug Conkey was also kind enough to have come visit the church yesterday as well.

A huge thank you to our county leadership for being actively involved as difference makers for the people of our county. I thank God for the men and women he has put in power. They deserve to be commended. I would encourage everyone to be praying for them and even take a moment to write a nice note and mail it to them. They have an incredibly hard, and often thankless job that they do out of a love for people and for our area. So, keep them on your thoughts and in your prayers.
