Prayer Focus: Protection
Scripture: Psalm 61:3-5 For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe.I long to dwell in your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.
Thoughts: God’s desire is to protect you and your family. He gives no real guarantees of physical protection, but He promises that even if you find yourself in jail because of Him You will be protected and will rejoice that He has your back. Pray for God’s protection over every aspect of you and your families lives.

Prayer Focus: Social Justice
Scripture: Matthew 5:3 God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.
Thoughts: God give us suburban Christians a sincere heart for the poor. We lift up those in the inner city of Jacksonville and in Clay County as well as those around the world. We ask oh God that the churches would rise up and direct their resources towards the less fortunate. We can make a difference.

Prayer Focus: Pray for our government leaders
Scripture: 1 Timothy 2:1-2 1 I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. 2 Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.
Thoughts: As believers it is our responsibility to pray for those in power. Pray that God would touch our Presidents heart and give him wisdom to lead during these difficult times.

Scripture: Ephesians 5:33 Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his on wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
Thoughts: Marriages are continually under attack. The enemy loves to divide the family. For victory and success in marriage, it doesn’t take 2 but 3. God must be at the center of our relationships. Today cover the marriages of the church in prayer.

Prayer Focus: Walk with God
Scripture: Matt 5:6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.”
Thoughts: As we reach this phase of the fast let the hunger in our bodies cause a hunger to rise up in our heart for the things of God. May we not e satisfied with Church as normal, but might we get fired up to be the church wherever we find ourselves.
