This is from Daniel, who has a Mexican missions team that we help support.
On our last trip to Mexico, the Lord miraculously saved and healed a gang leader named Mario, who’s street name is Clawfoot. Mario has been on fire for Jesus and resisting the drug lords, who want him to sell drugs again and don’t like people who say no. We received word this week that one of the drug cartels abducted Mario at gunpoint in broad dayulight in front of several people. As far as we know, he’s still alive. Please intercede for Mario’s safety. Killing people is what these guys do best. I’ll be returning to the Torreon, Mexico area July 15th and will go to Tiera Blanca(his neighborhood), in the mean time I’ll report back, as soon as I know anything.
blessings

Rarely does God switch my message mid stream, but this is one of those weeks where God had me throw all my previous notes out the window and go in an entirely different direction.
I just really sense that people both inside and outside of the walls of the church are hurting. One of my previous pastors said, “Hurting people hurt people!” This is something I have experienced a great deal lately. Whenever I see people react in an odd fashion I know deep down something is not right that their behaviors are often rooted in deep pains or they simply wouldn’t be acting that way.
My heart breaks for these people. They are all around us angry, hurting, acting out, acting righteous, acting like the class clown, always masking what is really going on inside and in desperate need of the truth.
The truth is that God loves us deeply. He has placed a longing in each of our hearts for a relationship with Him and we can run and hide, but His greatest desire is that we surrender and join the family.
Romans 8:15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
– Last weekend we talked about – One Prayer Evangelism – This weekend will be really special on fathers day. Would you reach out to someone who is acting out? who seems just a little angry or out of sorts? Invite them to join you in church this weekend. I really think God the father is going to mend hearts and restore families and I hope not only you are there, but that you bring someone with you.!
