Prayer Focus: Discipleship
Scripture: Acts 2: 42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
Thoughts: Pray that God with birth a desire in the hearts of believers to grow spiritually. Pray that people from Journey Church would go through engage.Pray that God would continue to raise up various effective people and methods that might challenge believers to seek deep spiritual growth in their lives.

Once again my faith is too small. I personally believed for 50 people to sign up for this challenge and 98 of you chose to jump in. I am so proud of you! Seriously. Amazing..
Here is a heads up for this weekend:
The South Group will not be meeting at the High School this Saturday. All participants are encouraged to throw on your Red Journey Shirts and meet us at The Orange Park Kennel Club (Near 295 & 17) Parking lot at 8:00am. You are encouraged to help volunteer (look for Vernon or Myself) or participate in the race. To volunteer – simply show up and we will put you to work. To participate you must sign up in advance at:
http://www.floridastriders.com/events/resolutionrun.html If your not participating at the very least come to experience what a local running event is like and encourage the Journey Team Members on. I will personally be PARTICIPATING in the race – so PRAY FOR ME!
The Monday Night Group in OAKLEAF IS ON. So south group – please consider joining them this weekend to keep your training on track! The south group will resume its training next Saturday morning @ 10am at Fleming Island High.
Speaking of training? How are you doing? Need encouragement? I personally had a minor breakthrough today. Previously I could barely make it 2 miles today I was somehow able to jog 4. Thank you Jesus! If you need encouragement – email me back – I will pray for you – Post your stories on

It’s not too late to invite someone to join you – we are just getting started and we all need each other on towards health and faith.
Hebrews 10:24 says – and let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds.
This is a great way to do it.

Prayer Focus: Christian Community
Scripture: Acts 2:46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
Thoughts: The Cross represents a vertical relationship with Christ and a horizontal relationship with others. We need others to make it and grow spiritually in this life. Pray for those who would open their homes and lead small groups and pray that God would put it on peoples hearts to get connected through groups.

Prayer Focus: Christian Service
Scripture: Matthew 20:28 “For even I, the Son of Man, came here not to be served but to serve others, and to give my life as a ransom for many.
Thoughts: Serving was close to Jesus heart and it should be at the heart of every believer. Pray that God would raise up people who are sold-out to serve Him with everything that is within them. That they would use their gifts boldly to make a difference inside and outside the walls of the church.

Prayer Focus: Missions
Scripture: Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
Thoughts: Pray that God would continue to raise up missionaries who spread the good news to all the ends of the earth. Pray that even in the United States people would see themselves as missionaries in their own back yards. Pray especially for those who find themselves in countries where the gospel is not allowed to be shared freely.
